Colin Clary And The Magogs - The Shape of This Town

The Smittens - Doomed, Lo-Fi And In Love

OFFICIAL DISPATCH

Just a quick note to say that all is well in the world of boy-girl cheap guitar pop. It's a bit lonely, though. The division is down to one person at the moment; poor Terry couldn't see past his fringe, and he stumbled into the water hazard at the miniature golf course. Worse luck, his cardie shrunk soon after because we left it too long under the hand-dryer. It was honestly quite lewd, and I'm glad you didn't have to witness it. I left him at the bus stop on Sunday, but he kept all the records we'd collected because he said you owed him for a pair of Joy Division trainers (you really don't have to bribe people to play with me, you know).

I managed to hang on to some older material from Colin Clary. Brilliant!
If you've not heard Colin, he sounds a bit like a more jangled out version of Harvey Williams, which is a very good thing indeed. He's Mr.Charming Smitten in his larger band, The Smittens, and, well, he's NOT the Magogs in Colin Clary and the Magogs. He's released a ton of quality poptastic material with his other projects as well, but I'm sending these tracks because I was so broken up over Terry I had to pretend I was a college rock DJ in the early nineties, and these songs fit just perfectly. Take care, and send us a little cash when you sign on.
